Impressive bronze ‘Corne d'abondance’, or horn of plenty. Equipped with a griffin carrying the horn, finished with mounting on and around the horn and end, including a beautifully detailed handle. A beautiful detail is the cherub with grape bunch on top of the lid of the frame. The foot was made in Neo-Renaissance style. This legendary object, which (as the name suggests) offered abundance, originally stems from Greek mythology. Collector’s item. Wear consistent with age and use. Registered, insured shipping.
