Some well-known small towns and villages for carpets around Hamadan are Assadabad, Khamseh, Hosseinabad, Maslaghan, Enjelas, Nahawand, Tuyserkan and Mousel - there are others, but these are mostly sold under the trade names Hamadan. Derived from this, it is said that the knotting regions belong to the “family” Hamadan.
The wool material of the carpet is durable and contains plenty of pile.
