Note from consignor:
"Preacher Finster was my Pastor at Chelsea Baptist Church in Chelsea Georgia for many years. Early in the 1950's he was at my parents' home and saw a head board from the first bed my parents owned. He asked Mom what she was going to do with it and she said, 'Throw it in the trash'. He told her he would take it home with him and paint something on it. When he brought it back, he had painted "Evening of Time at Hand" on it.
It hung over the mantel until 1990 when my father asked me if I wanted it. I brought it to my home and it hung in my husband's office until now.
Many good memories are with this painting."
