[ translate ]

This original leather bound Howard Hughes' Hell's Angels is preceded by Sid Grauman's Prologue in Grauman's Chinese Theathre- Hollywood. Dated May 27th, 1930, this book features the true story of the filming of "Hell's Angels". "The design on the cover is from an original drawing by Clayton Knight. It depicts one of the most unusual incidents of the World War. With the left aileron of the plane disabled by machine-gun fire, this English flyer landed his plane by stepping out on the wing to balance it and reaching in the cockpit to pull the stick back. Of course, it turned over, but he was not seriously hurt". Incredible texture on the genuine leather and held together by string. This prologue is a great historical piece and is in great condition with no known damages besides expected discoloration and yellowing on pages as well as the taring of the protectant that separates the leather and pages. The book measures 9" x 12" and features 28 pages.Â
