Bronze and brass, gilded, chased, and polished; porcelain plaques painted in polychrome. H. 42 cm, W. 31 cm, D. 16 cm. Enamel dial, hour ring with Roman numerals, visible Brocot escapement, enamel ring with month indicators, central hands and central moon phase, small day-of-the-week and date displays. Gussets and sides feature polychrome putto paintings on porcelain representing allegories of the four seasons. Half-hour and hour chimes on a bell. Oval case on a curved base, with applied decoration of volutes, oak wreaths, bows, and floral tendrils. Includes a key, pendulum, and a wooden plinth (H. 4 cm).
