Frame: 24 1/2 x 33 3/8 inches. Canvas is re-lined. Faint craquelure throughout and moderate yellowing in the varnish. There are two cracks in the foremost tree showing repair and overpainting that are possibly from a torn canvas. There is also a streak of varnish in the upper right corner. Probably re-varnished in the 20th Century. Frame with normal age cracks, small ships and a few losses with exposed gesso, and areas of overpainted gold.
