Huge Powder Blue vase as lamp with Scholars, Bats and Shou symbols - 90cm - Porcelain - China - 19th century

A large and impressive Chinese powder blue vase decorated in gold with four scholars studying a schroll in a fenced garden with prunus trees, rocks and bats. The neck depicts a scholars sitting by a table with precious objects, next to it a kneeling figure presenting him with a gift. The shoulder decorated with Shou symbols and lotus leaves. The vase dates to the second half of the 19th century and was mounted with a gilt bronze base and light fixture in the beginning of the 20th century. Marked to the base with blue double circle. Height of porcelain vase 44 cm Total height of lamp 90 cm The lamp fits two standard E27 lightbulbs (not included) and comes with European plug. It is in a good working order at the time of the auction. No guarantees of the electric parts are given. Condition In excellent condition. No chips, cracks or repairs. Drilled base for cable and some glaze and firing flaws. The color is more soft than depicted in the photographs.
