Hugh Hefner | Black Smoking Jacket and Silk Pajamas

A black velvet smoking jacket and a pair of hot pink silk pajamas, personally owned by Hugh Hefner.

This ensemble includes a black velvet smoking jacket with a polka dot silk lining, a single breast pocket, and two front pockets, labeled "Rick Pallack," size "L-52;" and a pair of custom-made hot pink silk pajamas with a front breast pocket and two front pockets on the top, as well as a drawstring waist on the matching pants, no size or label present.

Hefner's original smoking jacket design was created by artist Arthur Sarnoff, who worked with the Playboy brand in the 1960s. From then on, Hefner was rarely seen out of the now iconic jacket, always accompanied by satin pajamas, loafers, and a pipe, adding another signature element to the Playboy brand.

Hefner is quoted as saying, "Next to the mansion, [the smoking jacket] is the best place to hang out on the planet."
