A pair of custom-made silk pajamas with black slippers, famously worn by Hugh Hefner.
The purple silk pajamas feature "Hugh Hefner" embroidered on the interior of the jacket and black stone buttons in a simulated diamond surround, as well as a drawstring waist on the matching trousers, no size or label present. The black suede slippers feature a black paisley pattern and black leather insoles, labeled "L.B. Evans 1804," no size present.
Hefner began wearing his now-iconic silk pajamas back at the original Playboy Mansion in Chicago, IL, c. 1960s, and eventually adopted it as his signature, day-to-night wardrobe, making it yet another symbolic staple of the Playboy brand.
Hefner was once quoted as saying, "I have about 100 pairs of pajamas. I like to see people dressed comfortably."
