datiert 1918, auf der Plinthe signiert, Bronze braun patiniert, typische Darstellung eines starken jungen Mannes als Halbakt, lediglich von seiner Schürze bedeckt, in der er die Saat zum Bestellen des Feldes transportiert und die er mit einer Hand vor dem Körper gerafft hält, die andere Hand zum Wurf zurückgezogen, auf flacher rechteckiger Plinthe mit bewegter Oberfläche, auf flachen Sockel aus Serpentin montiert, altersgemäß gut erhalten, H Bronze 39 cm, H gesamt 41 cm. Künstlerinfo: deutsche Bildhauer und Medailleur (1868 Schotten bis 1919 München), ab 1884 in Hanau an der Zeichenakademie, dann in Frankfurt am Main an der Gewerbeschule sowie an der Städel-Kunsthochschule unter Gustav Kaupert ausgebildet, ab 1888 Studium an der Akademie der Bildenden Künste München unter Wilhelm von Rümann, ab 1904 eigene Professur bis 1907, dann ansässig in Berlin, ab 1917 bis zu seinem Tod wieder in München, war Mitglied im Deutschen Künstlerbund. dated 1918, signed on the plinth, brown patinated bronze, typical depiction of a strong young man as a half nude, covered only by his apron, in which he transports the seeds for tilling the field and which he holds gathered in front of his body with one hand, the other hand withdrawn for throwing, on a flat rectangular plinth with moving surface, on a flat serpentine base, in good condition for age, h bronze 39 cm, h total 41 cm. Artist information: German sculptor and medallist (1868 Schotten - 1919 Munich), trained from 1884 in Hanau at the drawing academy, then in Frankfurt am Main at the trade school and at the Städel art academy under Gustav Kaupert, from 1888 studied at the Academy of Fine Arts Munich under Wilhelm von Rümann, from 1904 own professorship until 1907, then based in Berlin, from 1917 until his death again in Munich, was a member of the Deutscher Künstlerbund.
