Hugo Meyer Megoflex, rare reflex device for Leica screw mount cameras, II, III.., exc++ C.1935

[ translate ]

It's a very nice and rare reflex device made by Hugo Meyer (c. 1933/35) suitable for the Leica screw mount cameras with rangefinder, Leica II, III. . . It's the Megoflex, a waist level finder which, as you can see in the pictures, is mounted on the accessory shoe and the pin under its "lens" must be attached to the lens of the camera. It can be used as a normal waist level finder (like that of "Rolleiflex" cameras) with or without its magnifier lens, or as a semi-reflex viewfinder, tilting the mirror 45 degrees. It can be used with 50mm Elmar or Hektor lenses. I think that it can be used also with "modern" cameras, like IIIA, IIIb or IIIC, but I'm not sure. For its age it's in good condition, with some signs of use, as is possible to see from the pictures. There are some dust inside its lens, few light signs (and dirty) on the focusing screen. It needs "help" in its opening. A very nice and rare accessory, not Leitz, made for the Leica SM cameras. The Leica II camera isn't included in the auction, it was photographed for demonstration purposes only.
