Hull Pottery Wildflower Matte Vase

11 inches. A two-handled earthenware art pottery vase featuring a matte blended glaze and relief floral decoration. The body is ovoid, tapering to a pedestal base, with two handles extending from the shoulder to the foot. The rim is finished with a scalloped edge. The exterior displays a blended glaze transitioning from a pale yellow at the top to a dusty rose at the base. The front and back are decorated with molded, low-relief floral motifs: one side depicts a yellow and pink flower with green leaves, while the reverse side shows a three-petaled pink flower. The base of the vase features an embossed script mark reading Hull Art over U.S.A. in block letters. Below these are incised alphanumeric characters W-12-9 1/2. An incised vertical line 1 is visible to the left, and an incised chevron mark ^ is located toward the bottom edge. A small rectangular piece of yellow adhesive tape residue is present on the underside of the base.
