Hussar's Saber M 1777 (Sabre de Hussard AN IV)
"A curved unmarked blade with fullers on both sides, upper part etched with trophies and scrolling foliage with remnants of gilding. Brass hilt with stirrup guard with acceptance rooster stamp (from 1793) and number "90", languets, dove's head pommel and backstrap. Wooden grip wrapped with remnants of rope and leather, very small remnants of brass wire. Complete with leather and brass covered scabbard (repaired) with two hanger rings. French, 1st Republic to 1st Empire era, length 101 cm. Condition 2
