I. Iatasse - Abstract Portrait, 1992
I. Iatasse – Abstract Portrait, 1992
Oil on canvas, signed “I. Iatasse, 92” lower right. Modern, abstract portrait with softly blending areas of colour. The female figure is merely hinted at and largely dissolves into atmospheric colour spaces. The flowing application of paint and the deliberately blurred contours lend the work a dreamy, introspective effect and place it in the context of early 1990s figurative abstraction. The painting impresses with its harmonious colour composition and subtle balance between representationalism and the dissolution of form. Framed. 83 x 63 cm.
