"I had one coin from my grandfather zatzal" A letter of blessing, handwritten by Rav Menachem Mendel Halberstam of Frysztak, son-in-law of the Shinever Rov- author of Divrei Yechezkel.

Handwritten letter from Rabbi Menachem Mendel of Frysztak, the grandson of the Divrei Chaim and the son-in-law of Rabbi Yechezkel Shraga Halberstam of Shinawa, son of Divrei Yechezkel

Among his remarks, the Rabbi of Pristik, mentions a coin [for guarding] that he owned from hisgrandfather, the Divrei Chaim of Sanz.

At the end of the letter, he blesses: "Hashem should send you blessings and you should merit to bring up your children in the ways of the Torah"

Rabbi Menachem Mendel Halberstam of Frysztak (1870-1926) son of Rabbi Aryeh Livush Av Beit Din of Dukla son of Rabbi David Makshnov son of Divrei Chaim of Sanz. His ancestor, the Divrei Chaim admired him him With his blessing he married the daughter of Rabbi Yechezkel of Shinawa . He served as a rabbi in Dukla and from 1895 in Frysztak. He was known as a huge tzaddik who did many great kindnesses even at his expense physically and monetarily.
