SERIAL NUMBER 2244285 BARREL 5" CALIBER .45 ACP MANUFACTURED 1945. Produced by Remington Rand with parkerized finish . Keyes pattern checkered brown plastic grips (HS) High Standard produced barrel WW2 (R) marked blue finished magazine. Narrow checkered hammer Checkered safety , grooved slide release and 9 groove arched mainspring housing. FJA ( Frank J Atwood) inspected. Remington marked slide . Identified to Private Dana E Hill Jr, of the 342 Ord, Dept . Pvt, Hill was involved in Normandy,Northern France, Rhineland Ardennes and Central Europe campaigns. Accompanied to the pistol is his Transcript of Military record and a copy of his Honorable discharge as well as his Ohio American Legion hat. CONDITION. Very fine with excellent bore and most all parkerized finish remaining. The grips are slightly worn from carry and the action operates properly. The paperwork is crisp and legible and the hat is fine. A neat Ohio related WW2 ID'ed set. C&R
