The standout volume of this lot is the early printing of the Zhenjiu Dacheng (Grand Compendium of Acupuncture and Moxibustion) published by Zhenhe Tang, likely in 1680, or the decades that followed. Originally compiled by Yang Jizhou (1522-1620) and first published in 1601, the ten volumes gather early writings on acupuncture and the related treatment of moxibustion. Richly illustrated with diagrams and figural drawings, the texts are a splendid example of 17th century woodblock printing and illustration.

T US Import Tariff
Please note that this lot is subject to an import tariff of 7.5%. The buyer will be required to pay the import tariff, which is included in the purchase price, along with sales tax, if applicable. The amount of the import tariff due is a percentage of the value declared upon entry into the United States (it is not based on the final bid price). The buyer should contact Bonhams prior to the sale to determine the amount of the import tariff.
