The lustrous roiro ground decorated in gold and red takamaki-e, mura-nashiji, kirikane and gold togidashi maki-e with highlights inlaid in shell, depicting a continuous design of two ladies and a young attendant watching fireflies at night beside a stream beneath overhanging willow branches, the interior of rich nashiji, signed Nariyuki/Seishi saku with seal Imaizumi; with a red bead ojime. 7.5cm x 8.2cm (2 15/16in x 3¼in).
