Imperial German 17th Dragoon (1st Grand Ducal Mecklenburgian), Model 1889 Trooper's Sword. Dual acid etched, straight fullered blade. Cavalry scenes, patriotic and floral design on light and dark gray background, showing "1. Gross. Mecklenb. Dragoner Regt. No 17" inscription in the center on one side. Blade width 1" at ricasso. No visible maker mark. Leather buffer pad present. Nickel-Silver plated hilt with Mecklenburg cypher insert to folding guard. Black composite grip. Black painted, one ring steel scabbard. Blade Length: 31.3/4" | Total Length: 37.1/4"
Condition Report: Very good. Light pitting and dark spots throughout the blade.
