Imperial German Saxon Model 1845 Faschinenmesser Short Sword. Single edged, machete style blade. Maker mark / logo of WK&C stamped on one side of the ricasso and "JR" under a Crown on the other. Solid brass hilt, stamped "104.R.11.244" on the crossguard. Leather scabbard with brass fittings. Matching regimental stamp on the scabbard's throat. Blade Length: 19" | Total Length: 24.25"
