IMPERIAL- WWI PRUSSIAN SWORD ETCHED 7TH UHLAN REGIMENT WWI

World War One WWI - Imperial German - Prussian M1889 cavalry sword beautifully etched to the Uhlan Regiment Grand Duke Friedrich of Baden (Rheinisches) No. 7. The obverse side of the blade is etched "Ulanen Reg. Großh. Friedr. v. Baden (Rhein.) No. 7", flanked by floral and military motifs. The reverse side of the blade features Uhlan lancers charging into battle with their lances, flanked by floral and military motifs, an Imperial eagle perched on a shield and GES GESCH. The blade and is in excellent, untouched condition. The original felt washer is still in place. Folding iron guard features a Prussian eagle. "16" is stamped on edge. Bakelite grips show minor wear but no chips or damage. Scabbard retains original black paint that shows wear, abrasions, and scratches. Sword hangers are present but damaged. Overall length of sword is 40" with a 34.5" blade. In-house shipping is available.
