IMPORTANT 19TH C. GILT COIN SILVER(.900) & GARNET TANKARD: Approx. 62.83 Ounce Total weight! Gilt coin silver(.900) tankard with a surmounting Garnet mounted cross at lid with 4 more inset garnets. Elaborately carved handle mounted with openwork scrolling design. Fine enamel & hand-chased work at upper & lower rim. The observe & verso have a raised scrolling foliate design. Stamped .900, "M", & a 6 pointed star, at crease of upper rim & edge of lid rim. Approx. 16.5" h x 7.5" l x 6" w. The estate collection of Ralph and Jeannine Weeks.
Condition Report: A few indents, 1 small screw missing at attached enamel work at top rim, wear consistent with age and use.
