IMPORTANT VASE "AUX SERPENTS" ON PLINTH
Restoration, probably Prussia/Berlin ca. 1820/40.
Cast iron. Gadrooned, oval vessel with protruding lip and striking snake-shaped handles, on a profiled round base. The walls with a fine scene in the style of Antiquity, depicting a sacrifice. On a fluted pillar plinth with profiled round base.
D 50 cm, H including plinth 152 cm.
