IMPRESSIVE CHINESE BRONZE & ENAMELED CENSER. Resting on three substantial foo legs terminating in spheres, the sides of the censer mounted with three finely sculpted gilt bronze foo lions and the fitted lid with similar gilt foo lion finial. The sides with cloisonné enameled scenery and the entire censer resting on a substantial shaped base, also with enameled banding. Overall height 28 inches (72 cm).

Condition Report: Overall average condition. Fitted lid does not fit perfectly snug. The surface overall has a dark brown patina which obscures some of the inlaid enamel and the inlaid silver has tarnished. There are some scattered rub marks, a few scratches here and there, and the leaf shape object (separately cast) above one of the legs is absent.
