INCREDIBLE EARLY HIRES ROOT BEER DISPENSER BOWL W/ PLATTER & 3 MUGS

Perhaps the only example known, this incredible piece of Hires Root Beer history is stunning and would be the center piece to any collection. This piece includes the dispenser, which sits atop its ornate platter. It comes with three ugly kid ceramic mugs. The dispenser and the platter are marked "Villeroy & Boch Made in Germany" on the bottom. CONDITION: The body of the dispenser retains excellent color and shine throughout. There is slight discoloration to the rounded section of the bowl section of the dispenser, likely from absorbing syrup over the years. The lid has experienced restoration of chips and minor cracks at some point in the past, clearly by an accomplished professionally restorer as this restoration was only recognized after very heavy inspection. There is a few very isolated areas of touch-up to the white background of the bowl section of the dispenser. The metal spigot on this dispenser is original and shows age appropriate tarnishing. The circular base on which the dispenser sets, retains good color with only slight areas of discoloration. There is the occasional slight wear and minor loss to the outer edges. The three ugly kid mugs all display very well, and have no mentionable damage, just some slight areas of discoloration. This exceptional piece of Hires Root Beer history is perhaps the pinnacle of all root beer collectibles.
