INDIAN WARS RARE Model 1879 PRAIRIE BELT W/ LOOPS

An improvement on the í76 pattern, this belt had equipment rings added to allow the hanging of equipment such as standard socket bayonet with new scabbard for this belt, a trowel bayonet with similar hook hanger, etc., other than the added rings, it is the same belt. The belt is in good condition with soiling and wear overall, mostly soiling giving the belt a great look. The leather is crazed, some dryness, and chipping. Made with 54 loops, in .45 caliber ammunition. Marked to the interior†2 CO D 2nd GA. Excellent.†
