Having a white clay body and drip iridescent glaze boasting silver and oxblood tones with observable pitting, blistering, reduction and oxidation. Incised "IRA" and "ELLA" to the underside. Provenance: Collection of Bob Schweizer, 4th generation owner of legendary Detroit based Schweizer's restaurant. Founded in 1862, Mr. Schweizer was a personal friend of Ira and Ella Peters as well as a personal friend of Pewabic Pottery founder, Mary Chase Stratton. Property of Robert Schweizer, Ann Arbor.
