white marble, on a black marble socle
49cm., 19¼in. overall

Condition Report:
Overall the condition of the marble is good with minor dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age. There is veining to the marble, consistent with the material, including to the proper left cheek, the hair and veil on the proper left side, and the veil at the centre at the top of the head. There is speckling to the marble in particular to the throat and to the chest. There are a few marks possibly caused by oxidised metal, including to the hair at the proper right ear and to the inside of the veil. There are a few minor chips and abrasions, in particular to the edges and high points.
The black marble socle is in good condition overall, with some minor chips and losses to the edges and corners.
