ITALIAN, 19TH CENTURY
AFTER THE ANTIQUE
BUST OF THE APOLLO BELVEDERE

white marble
57cm., 22 ⅜in. high

Condition Report:
Overall the condition of the marble is very good, with minor dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age. There is some veining to the marble, consistent with the material, including to the chin and nose. There is a naturally occurring inclusion to the proper right cheek. There are a few darkish marks to the torso and the mantle, and a few white marks to the proper right pectoral. There is an old blank label to the reverse.
