ITALIAN CARVED MARBLE MUSE HOLDING LYRE, H 29", W 12" :On a 2 step marble base; unsigned; c. 1900.
Condition Report: There is an approx. 4 1/4" x 1 1/2" area of restoration to one of the folds at the right side of her dress. There are also a few smaller restorations scattered throughout her dress.The left pinkie is missing. The lyre she is holding shows areas of wear to the green finish. The choker necklace she is wearing is possibly a repair, and the necklace itself shows wear overall. There are small nicks to the edges scattered throughout the sculpture. The base also has a few small nicks to the edges. THE NECK HAS BEEN REPAIRED.
