ITALIAN CLASSICAL, OIL ON CANVAS, H 77", W 38" It depicts a classical exterior scene with a building adjacent to a large stairway, female figures, a pool, and statuary. Giltwood frame H 84" x W 44.5". No apparent signature. Dimensions: Condition Report: Exhibits craquelure, No apparent signature. Painting is 19th.c. Has been relined and has a great deal of overpainting. Craqueleur has been compressed possibly by heat treatment. Label on back is from Herbert Ressler who was a painting restorer in the Detroit area. jw
