19th century, the double-banded rectangular top with an intricately inlaid panel of scrolling foliate designs surrounding a panel of a stylized mythical beast, above a single frieze drawer, the drawer and sides with like-inlaid decoration, raised on turned beehive legs joined by an H-form barley-twist stretcher and ending in ball feet.

Provenance: Collection of Ruth and Michael Burke, Covington, Louisiana.
Condition Report: **In very good polished and restored condition. The top exhibits a filled shrinkage crack with good-quality marquetry repairs along the crack and elsewhere. There is a splice at two corners of the top. The table is functional. There is some side-to-side movement in the legs, and no fore-aft movement.
