Icon - Peter and Paul - Wood

Ancient painted icon depicting Saints Peter and Paul of the nineteenth century. The icon is embellished with a very detailed gilded metal Riza (Oklad) . Note the details of the robes, the bottom and the frame with geometric designs. The icon is very well readable and you can clearly see the iconographic elements of the saints and the writings at the bottom.
On the back there is an autograph inscription of the old owner:

"1974
[Name and surname] imported this icon directly from Kiev (Ukraine) .
In faith
Signature"

The icon comes from an important Italian collection.
