Icon - Wood - 19th century

Monumental Russian icon from 19th century depicting "the Twelve Great Feasts of the Liturgical Year". Egg tempera on gold leaf, beautiful painting, on the back of the icon it is written something in old cyrillic Russian alphabet. Good conservation considering its age. Despite its big size (52 x 38,5 x 3,8 cm) the wooden board it is carved from one piece! A beautiful piece of Russian old art. The icon has been professionally restored/cleaned and treated by woodworms. The work has been conducted by a conservator-restorer.
