Id'd WWII US Navy Chaplins Uniform Group

A quite scarce WWII US Navy Chaplins Uniform Group belonging to Roy W. Townsend. Very brief research found that Rev. Townsend was a Lieutenant in the U.S. Navy where he had served as a Chaplain from 1943-1945. His duty placed him on an attack transport in the Pacific theater and a hospital ship during the invasion of Okinawa. The group consists of his two scarce service dress grey tunics which were only in use for a short time. The tunics are stamped with his name and rank. His white dress uniform is also present which consist of his tunic and pants. Also present are his white dress shoes stamped with his name and rank. His visor hat with his gray and dark covers are also included. Overall a very interesting World War II chaplains group worthy of further research.
