"If during this limited time my justice is not revealed, Dreyfus said, then give me a gun barrel and I will end my life" - an issue of the newspaper "Hatzifara" from the prime days of the Dreyfus affair

A rare issue of the newspaper "Hatzifira" Warsaw - dated: January 13, 1895 - ten days after the humiliation ceremony of Dreyfus after he was convicted of treason.

On the title page there is an instructive piece of news which marked the beginning of Dreyfus's struggle after he was convicted of treason, and his absolute confidence in his righteousness and innocence. The issue describes that: "After the scandal that the members of the mob did to Dreyfus (apparently the reference is to the beating Dreyfus was beaten by the mob on his way to the prison on Devil's Island), Dreyfus once again swore he is innocent, and promised that within three years his righteousness would be proven, if During this limited time, my righteousness has not come to light, said Dreyfuss, so give me a gun barrel and I'll end my life." (highlighted in pencil).
