Attributed Pieter Bodding Van Laer, called ""Il Bamboke"", Painter and Dutch Engraver Active in Rome for over 10 years, where he had went to 1625. He acquired notoriety for paintings of everyday life scenes and animals in landscapes located in the surroundings of Rome , where I opened an assiduously become a member of the ""Bentevenhels"", association of Flemish and Dutch artists. It was nicknamed the ""little girl"" for an allusion to its fairly ungazed physical appearance. Through the works he created in Rome Pieter Van Laer started the ""Bambiaciente"" genre, a new style of painting, which took the title from his nickname. It was mainly known for its kind scenes set in Italian landscapes often with animals and characters. The bambling style had the ambition to offer the true portrait of Rome and its popular life without variation or alteration. His pictorial style was openly not appreciated by eminent Italian painters such as kidneys, Albani, sacks etc., but despite all his paintings were very sought after and wellped by illustrious clients. 70x105 cm
