Ilias Lalaounis Solid 18K Yellow Gold & Sodalite Hercules Knot Bangle Bracelet - This beautiful bangle was made by famed Greek designer Ilias Lalaounis, and was finely crafted of solid 18k yellow gold. Ilias Lalaounis was a 4th generation jeweler who began his career in the 1930s as an apprentice at his uncle's firm, Zolotas. This jewelry designer is so well loved and historic that they have their own museum, The Ilias Lalaounis Jewelry Museum is a museum in Athens, Greece. The bracelet was masterfully crafted of solid 18k yellow gold and has an ornate Hercules Knot design embellished with genuine sodalite inlay. The bracelet is also adorned with incredibly intricate granulated details, with gold beads fused to the surface of the piece creating a decorative pattern. The amount of precision, skill and patience it requires makes this one of the most labor-intensive jewelry techniques, making this piece of the highest quality. The bangle measures 1.5" wide across the top of the piece and approximately 7" in circumference, and is signed "Greece" along with the Ilias Lalaounis picto hallmark and gold purity "750".
