Imperial Chinese Famille Rose Bowl, Jiaqing
A Chinese famille rose porcelain bowl featuring a 6-character Jiaqing mark and of the period. The interior of the bowl features a red, green, and gold band with 4 characters and bats between blue and white ruyi clouds; the base of the interior features a bat with a pair of lotuses, a lucky coin, and a character. The exterior of the bowl is turquoise.
Dimensions: 1 1/2 inches tall X 4 3/4 inches wide; 3.8 cm tall X 12.1 cm wide. All measurements are approximate.
Condition: Overall good condition with a few minor iron pits to the exterior.
Provenance: From Mr. Loh in Los Angeles, California; a family heirloom. This collection was acquired in Singapore by Mr. Loh's family over 65 years ago. It was shipped to the US following the death of Mr. Loh's mother.
