Imperial German Naval Photograph Album Group of China and Orient Interest Circa 1900, interesting small album with privately taken mostly large format photographs detailing the period spent by a naval sailor in China and the Orient at the early part of the 20th century. Many good images of local people, various sites and naval bays, ship being unloaded in Chinese docks, various images of local women, Chinese medicine men and local shop keepers etc. All housed in a typical oriental concertina type album with lacquered covers. The album has 37 images and 4 loose images. Album pages have come loose in the album. Accompanied by the original owners metal storage tin with a brass naval themed picture frame, a signalling equipment lamp and a later peaked cap. An interesting grouping which details an interesting time in Chinese history.
