Imperial Russian Trophy from Siege of Sebastopol 1855

Crimean War (1854-56) veteran brought back captured Imperial Russian insignia from the Siege of Sevastopol (1854-1855). Board in the form of a wooden shield upholstered in red cloth on which are mounted two triple grenades on the cartridges of infantry tsarist Russia, one single grenade from the Jager troops pouch, in the middle a Imperial Russian Shako Helmet Plate 1828 pattern, and a smoking pipe. Below an engraved brass plaque "Sebastopol 9th Sept. 1855 ". The table was made by the British soldier as a souvenir trophy from the Crimean War.
