An important French 18th century parlor set attributed to Nicolas Quinibert Foliot, circa 1750, pair of gilwood canapes (sofas), pair of fauteulis (arm chairs) and chaises D'epoque (sipper chairs), Louie XV period. Shaped padded backs, arms and seats upholstered in ice blue fortuni upholstery. The frames richley carved with scrolls, foliage, ribbons, books and rocaille on cabriole legs and scrolled feet. Original gilding. Sofas- 59 1/2w x 24d x 46h, Arm chairs- 29w x 24d x 44 1/2h SH- 18, Sipper chairs- 21w x 19 1/2d x 37 1/4h SH- 19h. Condition Report: Some loss to gilt, overall upholstery very good, rip to the back on one sofa, structurally sound. Proper age wear with aged hairline cracks in frame.
