Impressive 19th C. Islamic Ottoman Turkish PALA Sword. A beautiful large example having large iron furniture decorated with silver Kofgari work. Massive horn grips of traditional Ottoman pistol form, showing beautiful color. Mounted with a broad deeply curved blade having an extensive raised false edge and T-spine reinforcement, lower blade and beginning of the false-edge are inlaid with partially worn gold decorations. Sword is 36", blade is 27 3/4".
