Impressive French Henri II Style Carved Walnut Buffet a Deux Corps, 19th c., the superstructure having finialed shell carved crest, over a broken arch pediment with pierced foliate swags, the molded cornice over a relief shield and acanthus scroll frieze, two molded glazed doors flanked by fluted pilaster stiles, with a finialed scrolled and paneled backboard, on tapered ionic box column supports, on a breakfront base with a rounded shaped top, on a conforming case, with a belt of four relief carved foliate and gadrooned drawers, and four heavily paneled lower doors, flanked by fluted pilaster stiles, on a stepped plinth base on four flat bun feet, H.- 118 in., W.- 88 in., D.- 22 in.
