Portrait of a woman, three-quarter length, in a cartwheel ruff with lace edging. Oil on canvas, unsigned, framed in a carved and gilded wood frame, overall 32" x 26". Frame bears nameplate of Paulus Moreelse (Flemish, 1571-1638) though the painting was probably painted after the artist's lifetime.
Condition: Undulation to canvas in upper right corner, brittle craquelure surface, inpainting to perimeter of canvas seen under UV light.
