Condition Report:
The painting is in satisfactory condition.
It has been relined, very stiffly.
We can see a strengthening piece on the reverse, corresponding to the top left corner of the front.
The paint layer is in a satisfactory condition but is very dirty and darkened.
It does not seem to show any loss or uplift.
It shows some uneven matt effects and areas of brilliance, probably due to the uneven varnish layer.

Under U.V. light
Inspection under UV light is made difficult by the thick varnish layer.

Offered with a wood frame imitating tortoiseshell.

Il a fait l’objet d’un rentoilage.
Une pièce de renfort est visible au dos de la toile, en haut à gauche du recto.
La tension de la toile est très dure.
La couche picturale est dans un état de conservation satisfaisant mais elle est très encrassée et assombrie.
Elle ne présente ni manque, ni soulèvement apparent.
La couche picturale présente différentes matités et brillances probablement liées à un vernis irrégulier.

La lecture est rendue difficile par le vernis épais.
