Indian Matchlock Musket/Toradar. The barrel measures 45-3/4'' with rear peep sight and front blade. The rear frame, barrel bands, and front barrel surround, are sterling silver with moderate floral engraving. The stock is a tight grained wood something similar to a fruit wood. The butt stock has a bulbous end with worn fur covering. The barrel has a shallow rib extending to the flared muzzle. The matchlock is intact and functional, the letters ''T D'' are inscribed forward of the rear peep sight. In overall good condition with a brown patina. Provenance: Estate of William Kranker, collector and dealer, Greenport, NY. Exporter required for international bidders.
