Indus Valley Mature Harappan Stamp Seal with Bull

26th-19th century BC. A carved square stamp seal with lug handle to the reverse, intaglio scene with standing bull with symbols in the field, possibly a proto-script. 4.56 grams, 22mm (1"). Property of a London gentleman; formerly in the private collection of an English lady previously living in Oxford; acquired on the UK art market from the mid 1980s.
