Description
Infantry officer's sword, model 1798, “For Bravery”, badge of St. Anna, 3rd class, Russia, 19th С. The blade is straight, steel, with one fuller on each side, richly decorated with etching. At the base of the blade is the mark of the manufacturer Shaf & Sons, St. Petersburg. The hilt consists of a handle with a brass pommel and a guard. The handle is wooden, wrapped in twisted wire. On top, on the pommel, there is a figured mount decorated with crystal. On the inside of the shield, on the hilt, there is a relief inscription - “For Bravery” and the Badge of St. Anne, third degree. The scabbard is leather, with brass fittings, consisting of a mouth with a hook and a tip. A wonderful collectible in good condition. Some later parts. length 87 cm.
