Inlaid Walnut Corner Cupboard, possibly Virginia, late 18th/early 19th century, the upper glazed section with scrolled cresting terminating in inlaid pinwheels and centering a plinth above applied foliate carving, set into the lower section of drawers and cupboard doors separated by reeded panels, all set into a replaced molded base, ht. with center finial 94 1/2 in.
Provenance: According to a note in the right-hand drawer, this corner cupboard was purchased from Mrs. Rodney, a New Canaan, Connecticut, dealer, for $250 in 1950.
